It is ironic that I said this shortly before I watched the second batch of episodes in the second series because these tended to me more comedic than they were really engaging on an emotional level.The three episodes see a young couple moving further out of New York to a bigger and more affordable place, although find themselves increasingly out of their Williamsburg clique; a rival female delivery rider to The Guy tries to fulfill her dream of performing in Stomp – making her let down her customers at the same time; finally The Guy joins a group of others as they head upstate for a weekend of fun and drugs, although more mundane concerns tend to dominate at first. All three of these episodes are amusing and well crafted, producing good characters – even if we do not always have reason to like them.
